Assistance Dogs Covers a wide range of assistance dogs

Autism Assistance Dogs (AAD) – AAD Dogs are used to help encourage social interaction, interrupt repetitive behaviour, sensory input etc.  I also provide support for both the person with the disability and also their family and much more.

Medical Alert Dogs – These dogs will either alert to a condition before they occur.  Such as Diabetes, Addison’s, Blood Pressure Issues, Allergens such as Nuts, Gluten, Seizures and very rare diseases too many to mention.

Dementia Dogs – These are a relatively new area of Animal Assisted Therapy which is now being trained around the world with great success.

Mobility Dogs – These dogs work with people with physical disabilities who need help with daily life.  The dogs can be trained to pick up named items, open and close doors and windows, fetch items, turn lights on and off, fetch medicine, call for help, help with balance issues for some who may be unsteady on their feet and much much more.

Psychological Assistance Dogs – are for people who have mental health and behavioural disabilities such anxiety disorders, PTSD etc

APPLICATION PROCESS – All clients will need to complete our application form and pay a non refundable deposit to apply – $100.

TEMPERAMENT OF THE DOG – The dog will be required to have a “suitability temperament test” done before commencing our program – $200 in Mudgee, NSW 2850 or extra costs will be added for travel and any overnight accommodation.  It it vitally important that you are absolutely sure that your dog will be suitable before embarking on this life changing journey.

PAT TESTS – All dogs/teams must be trained and under the guidance of PADS to be able to be offered a PAT Test as an Assistance Dog Team for an Individual or a Therapy Dog for facilities/schools etc.  This includes the PAT, ID, letters, badges and basic support.

I do not cover your Public Liability Insurance you must take out your own.  – $300 yearly if PAT is performed in Mudgee, NSW 2850.

If PAT is required to be done in your hometown then there is the added cost of travel and overnight accomodation to be added as well.

CURRENT PRICE LIST is based on working in Mudgee, NSW 2850 (I can come to you if required just please remember there are added costs to be included as below as well as accomodation costs).

Application Form – Non refundable – $100

Initial Suitability Test Consultation and Assessment – $200 – If you pass the suitability test then you will also need to pay for PADS Registration before receiving your Registration Package.

PADS Registration including, badges, ID, manual etc – $300 yearly

Public Access Test (Yearly Accreditation) – $300 yearly

Training and Travel – without pension – $50 per hr

Training and Travel – with pension – $35 per hr

Skype/Telephone/Consults/Video Assessments – $30 per hr

 

NB:  Some airlines may not accept my PATS and you will need to check for suitability with the airline you wish to use.

REFERRALS

I also work alongside many organisations and specialists so am also able to refer you to the right organisation that may be willing to help.

INTERPRETERS/ADVOCATES/CARERS – I include the teams interpreters, advocates, carers etc in the support throughout the training and ongoing aftercare once PAT approved.  I make sure I am giving my clients the best one on one, confidential support available from PADS.

INSURANCE:  PADS is Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insured

It is your responsibility to take out your own insurance as you own the dog NOT PADS.
